Laser Scanning

Kolar uses a portable non-contact laser probe to map 23,000 data points per second onto any solid object. The resulting “point clouds” of data generate highly accurate surface data for conversion into our customer’s system of choice. This scanning technology will not deflect on contoured surfaces or distort soft materials like touch probes often do.

For inspections or validations, overlaying the scanned data with original CAD data will provide an easy to read color map to compare all geometry, not just single points, for manufacturing compliance.
